Mini Mindfulness Break for August 27, 2021

Dear *[FNAME]*:
Engage today in an act of kindness, a choice for compassion, a nod of thanks, a word of encouragement, a pause of wonder, a smile of appreciation. Each of these tiny acts of love just might tip the balance in favor of a more lit-up world!

– Ashwini Narayanan, Daily Peace Quote

Dear *[FNAME]*:
We learn in the process of “being with” that all is divinity and is always changing. Contrary to what the voices say, we discover we can stand the anguish of endings and the exquisite delight of beginnings. In fact, it is in the awareness of the trembling transiency of the moment that we feel intensely and joyously alive. In that moment, we embody “spiritual bliss.”

Dear *[FNAME]*:
The more we practice BEING HERE, the more we recognize BEING as the experience of the HAPPINESS we seek. Spiritual transformation is the realization that the Happiness we seek is the Happiness we are.

There are thousands of visible stars. It is the mind’s eye that sees Orion the Hunter, Cassiopeia the vain queen, and a Saucepan, or is it a Big Bear? Right and wrong, good and bad, beautiful and ugly are not real. They are also what conditioned mind makes up. So, when we find something unacceptable we want to remember that in practice we are not asked to condone or agree with unconsciousness, injustice, or evil. We are asked, as a first step, to examine the conditioning that creates the division of acceptable and unacceptable.

Mini Mindfulness Break for June 07, 2020

The thought appears in conditioned mind and conditioned mind, identifying with the thought, creates the sense of me. But if we’re watching the thought and we cease to go with it, there is no me that’s created because it’s a process noticing a process.

Mini Mindfulness Break for March 14, 2020

When we make a commitment, our commitment is always to presence, not to what we’re committed to. If we focus on the commitment itself, conditioning distracts our attention from process to content. When a commitment becomes the end in itself it’s an instrument of suffering.
